HelloMillions requires an unexpired government-issued photo ID and proof of address issued within the last 90 days for its standard identity and address checks. Your ID must clearly show:

  • Your full legal name.
  • Your date of birth.
  • Your document number.
  • An unexpired expiration date.

The name registered on your account must match your government-issued identification. If your personal details have changed, contact Customer Support and provide the supporting documents requested.

What counts as proof of address?

HelloMillions accepts these proof-of-address documents:

  • Utility bills for gas, electricity, water, or waste management.
  • Landline, internet, or mobile phone statements.
  • Official bank statements or credit card statements.
  • Formal lease agreements.

Your document must be issued within the last 90 days from the date of submission and clearly display:

  • Your full name, matching your government-issued photo ID.
  • Your current residential address, matching your registered profile.
  • The document’s issue date.

For U.S. customers, documents must be issued within a permitted state and must not originate from a prohibited territory.

What other documents can HelloMillions request?

HelloMillions may request additional verification documents to confirm your payment ownership, or source of funds. Depending on the check, examples include:

  • Payment ownership evidence: A redacted copy of a payment method used for successful purchases on your account.
  • Source-of-funds or source-of-wealth evidence: Documents such as a payslip or bank statement.
  • Supporting documents for changed account details: Evidence requested to support updates to your address or other personal information.

The documents requested depend on the verification check. Follow your account’s instructions, including any payment-card redaction requirements, and provide only the requested records.

How should I prepare my verification documents?

Before submitting, check the following:

  • Required images: Include both sides of a driver’s license or ID card, or the complete passport photo page.
  • Image quality: Place the document on a flat surface in good lighting. Keep all four corners visible and avoid glare, blur, or covered information.
  • Original format: For ID and proof-of-address verification through Veriff, use a raw photograph or official document file rather than a digital screenshot. Follow the capture method and file requirements shown.
  • Document text for non-U.S. customers: Use documents printed in the standard Latin alphabet. For a document in another script, submit an official, certified translation into English together with the original for review.

Keep document information visible unless the specific verification instructions require redaction. For the full process, see how account verification works.

Where do I upload my verification documents?

To upload your verification documents, sign in to HelloMillions and open My Account from the sidebar or menu. You can also use the official secure verification link provided by Support. Follow the instructions to submit the requested files.

Protect your account and payment information with these safety tips:

  • Never share your password, recovery codes, or security tokens with anyone.
  • Do not send full credit or debit card numbers or CVV codes. If proof of payment ownership is requested, use the official secure verification route and follow the redaction instructions.
  • Keep complete bank account numbers and unrequested identity-document attachments out of email or chat.

If you cannot find the correct upload task, contact Customer Support for assistance.

The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, retained, and disclosed, including through service providers.

What should I do if my document is declined or will not upload?

If a document is declined, follow the verification email, return to the My Account tab, and follow the instructions to resubmit through the official secure verification portal. For help, read why verification documents get declined. If the file never uploads, use the document upload troubleshooting guide.

Respond promptly to additional requests. Under the Terms of Service, HelloMillions may terminate, deactivate, or restrict your account at its discretion if a verification check cannot be completed, including when requested documents are not provided within 30 days of the first request.
