Does my physical location matter while I am traveling?

Yes. The Terms of Service tie eligibility to the jurisdiction where a customer is located when accessing the service. They also say a customer must not live in or access the games or service from a prohibited territory. A home address in an available state does not override the rule that applies at the travel location.

Before a trip, check both the service-level notices near the beginning of the Terms and the additional supplier restrictions. The first determines whether the service is available in that location. The second can affect particular game libraries even when the wider service remains available.

Availability can change on a stated effective date. A dated snapshot on the availability page is useful for planning, but refresh the Terms immediately before and during travel if the trip crosses a transition date.

What happens when I enter a prohibited territory?

The screen, message, or account behavior can vary. Depending on the location check and the applicable rule, access may be restricted. The safe, compliant response is to stop attempting to use the service from that location.

Do not interpret a page that happens to load as permission to play. Likewise, do not interpret a location error as permission to turn off protections. Eligibility comes from the governing rules, not from whether a button is temporarily visible.

Can I use a VPN or proxy while traveling?

No. The Terms specifically say customers must not use a VPN, proxy, or similar technology to conceal or disguise their actual location. This applies even if the VPN is normally used for work, privacy, or public Wi-Fi protection rather than to evade a rule.

If a work device forces all traffic through a corporate VPN, use a different permitted device and ordinary connection only if the service is available where you are. If that is not possible, wait until you are back in an eligible location. Trying multiple servers or changing the device region does not establish eligibility and may make the location signal less consistent.

What should I do about a pending redemption while away?

Travel does not have one automatic outcome for a pending prize request. Check the status information in your account and any email sent about the request. Customer Support can confirm whether your current location affects the next step.

If the site asks for verification or a response while you are physically in a prohibited territory, contact Customer Support rather than trying to bypass the location rule. Tell support the state you are visiting, the date you expect to return, and the exact request status. Do not send sensitive documents except through the official secure process they identify.

This distinction matters: a temporary travel location is not the same as a permanent move. If your residential address has changed, use the moving states guide and update the address on the existing account.

What should I do when I return to an available state?

Return to an ordinary local connection, make sure location services are enabled, and reload the site. If access is still restricted, restart the browser or device and confirm that no VPN, proxy, private relay, or employer network is changing the apparent location.

If the message persists, contact support with:

• the state where you are physically located;
• the device and browser;
• whether location permission is allowed;
• the exact wording of the message; and
• the time the issue occurred.

Do not create another account. The Terms permit one account per person, and a duplicate registration can lead to a separate restriction.
